Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds for diapering, transfers, transitions, and position changes
• Ability to kneel, squat, bend, stand and sit for extended periods
• Willing to participate in required district and school trainings
• Experience in a preschool setting preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication with parents and staff

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, developmentally appropriate learning environment
• Assist with after-school activities, homework support, and engaging activities
• Prepare and serve snacks, keep spaces clean and organized
• Communicate with parents about child progress and behavior
• Support lead teacher with lesson plans and behavior plans
• Monitor student behavior and ensure safety during all activities
• Attend to attendance and records as needed
• Collaborate with staff to support individual student needs
