Ventura Unified School District is seeking individuals to support elementary after-school programs with flexible hours (2–7 per day) across multiple sites. Positions carry 183 days per year with potential eligibility list continuation.

Duties include instructional support, supervision and clerical tasks to assist students and staff. The role emphasizes working with children and adolescents, using computers and educational tools, and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent.
• Requires two years of college (48 units) or pass the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
• An Associate’s degree is highly desirable.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults in an organized setting is preferred.
• Experience using computers and technology tools relevant to providing academic and clerical support is desirable.

• Assist in providing instruction to individuals or small groups in after-school program.
• Support effective instruction and reinforcement of lessons.
• Perform instructional, recreational, motivational and clerical duties as assigned.
