Job summary

San Mateo-Foster City School District is looking for Para-Educator I Extended Day substitutes to work in our after-school program. Typical hours are M, T, Th, F 2:00pm-6:00pm AND Wed 11:30am-6:00pm.

This is an "on call" position. Definition: Under general supervision, to assist teacher in planning, supervision, curriculum development and classroom arrangement, organization and maintenance; to provide instructional support and learning enrichment, using developmentally appropriate practices and

Qualifications

• Proof of HS Graduation.
• CPR Certificate and First Aid required.
• Reading, math & writing test required; unless waived based on prior education and/or experience.
• If you have an Associate's Degree or higher and provide proof, testing may be waived.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in planning, supervision, and curriculum development.
• Provide instructional support and learning enrichment with developmentally appropriate practices.
• Monitor child safety and assist in the physical care and feeding of children.
• Perform housekeeping tasks and maintain classroom organization.
