Job summary

Prospect Schools is seeking a Multisports & Wellness Specialist for our after-school program in Brooklyn. You will coach multiple sports, promote student wellness through yoga, mindfulness, meditation, and movement, and foster confidence and healthy habits in a diverse group of students.

The ideal candidate brings creativity to sports and wellness instruction, engages up to 15 students, and supports a safe, inclusive learning environment while aligning with the program’s values and schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certifications or credentials in filmmaking are preferred.
• Availability to work late afternoons and/or evenings (typically 4:00-6:00 p.m.)
• Experience in filmmaking and youth work in classroom, enrichment, or after-school settings preferred.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and group facilitation skills; adaptable to diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage up to 15 students during after-school programming.
• Plan and facilitate engaging lessons and enrichment activities.
• Establish learning objectives and monitor progress through activities.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment encouraging participation and collaboration.
• Prepare classrooms and materials, maintain attendance, assist with setup and cleanup.
• Implement safety protocols including emergency procedures and drills.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and adjust activities for outcomes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the After-School Program Director.
