Job summary

Mathnasium in Pasadena is hiring Math Instructors for the 2026–2027 school year to support students in a PUSD After-School Math Enrichment Program. In this in-person, on-campus role, you will work with students at participating sites, delivering personalized, small-group math instruction and receiving comprehensive paid training in the Mathnasium Method™.

Qualifications

• Within one year of earning your high school diploma.
• Strong arithmetic and Algebra I skills; Math Literacy Test required.
• Excellent work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Available to work at least 4 weekdays (5 preferred).
• Must be available for the entirety of assigned program hours.
• Able to commit to working through the end of the 2026–2027 school year (June 2027).

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and small-group math instruction using the Mathnasium Method™.
• Support students with varying skill levels in an after-school enrichment environment.
• Guide students through personalized learning plans while fostering confidence and growth.
• Help students develop conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and problem-solving strategies.
• Monitor progress and communicate observations with leadership and instructors.
• Create a positive, engaging, supportive learning environment.
• Build relationships with students, families, and school personnel; provide excellent service.
• Maintain instructional standards and support behavior expectations.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure student success and program quality.
• Assist with student assessments and learning activities as needed.
