Child Development Schools is seeking an After School Lead Teacher in Garner, North Carolina. You will create a welcoming, exploratory classroom atmosphere, guiding children through engaging activities and meaningful experiences that foster curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth.

You’ll partner with families and collaborate with a teaching team to ensure safe, nurturing, and educationally rich after-school programs in a licensed setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Early Childhood Education is required or preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with families.
• Willingness to complete 12 hours of childcare training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities for the After School classrooms.
• Keep the classroom safe, organized, and compliant with licensing and ratio requirements.
• Observe and document each child's development and share progress with families regularly.
• Build relationships with parents through daily communication and scheduled conferences.
• Complete required documentation including attendance, incident reports, and assessments.
