Job summary

Tulsa City-County Library is seeking an After-School Homework Club Facilitator to support learners in grades 3–8. You will oversee appointments, provide homework help, and coordinate sessions across Glenpool and Jenks locations.

The role emphasizes engaging, student-centered learning in a public library setting. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of teaching or tutoring experience, plus a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 1–3 years of teaching/training/tutoring elementary or middle-school students preferred.
• Or equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and personal transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day ASHC student appointments at library.
• Provide homework assistance based on students’ assignments and learning needs.
• Prepare and bring to work all necessary ASHC equipment and supplies.
• Perform student registration and parent orientation activities.
• Schedule 30-minute one-to-one homework sessions with ASHC registered students.
• Promote learning-based library services to students, parents, educators, and the public.
• Communicate student homework progress to parents/caregivers when requested.
• Coordinate appointments for volunteer ASHC Homework Coaches.
• Compile end-of-day student reports.
• Participate in facilitator trainings, meetings, and workshops.
• Support the library’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion efforts.
