Catholic Charities of New York is seeking a Group Leader to support participants with homework, provide academic guidance, and help maintain a positive learning environment. This part-time role runs 2:00 PM–6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, in person unless city mandates remote work, with daily attendance tracking and classroom supervision.

You will plan activities across arts, crafts, dance, STEM and SEL, attend weekly staff meetings and agency events, and ensure spaces are clean and welcoming

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalency; working towards or possessing AA or BA degree a plus.
• At least one (1) year experience working in childcare programming.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsabilités

• Arrive on time, ready to work, and report to the Program Director or Program Supervisor.
• Track daily attendance of participants.
• Provide academic support and guidance, including homework help.
• Group Leaders will create lesson plans for participants such as but not limited to Arts and Crafts, Dance, STEM, Physical activities and SEL.
• Attend weekly meetings with the Program Director or Assistant Director.
• Engage in program and community events.
• Ensure the cleanliness and presentation of all program spaces.
