Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is seeking a Group Leader Assistant for the Kingsford Elementary School location in Mitchellville, MD. This part-time role runs Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM, supporting before/after school activities in a structured, high-energy environment.

You will help deliver engaging curriculum activities, prioritize child safety, and maintain a clean, organized space. Join a team that fosters inclusion and strong partnerships with families and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• 3-6 months childcare experience in a licensed setting.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts) while encouraging positive peer interactions.
• Make child safety the top priority at all times.
• Keep the space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff.
