Kingsley Montessori School in Boston is seeking a Floating After School Program Assistant Teacher to support students and staff across Elementary and Early Childhood after-school programs. You will move between classrooms and outdoor spaces, assisting with supervision, transitions, and structured activities.

This is a part-time role with regular hours Monday–Friday, 2:00–6:00 PM, and occasional night or weekend events.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; degree near-completion considered.
• Experience with children or education, preferably in multi-age environments.
• Flexible, team-first attitude; able to shift between age groups and tasks.
• Commitment to meeting the needs of each child.
• Maintain professional communication with others and exhibit empathy and collaboration.
• Familiarity with Montessori pedagogy; AMS/AMI credentials are a plus but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Prioritize the safety, wellbeing and supervision of a group of students.
• Supervise students indoors and outdoors, including during lessons, recess, bathroom breaks and hallway monitoring.
• Escort students safely indoors and outdoors and reinforce safe behavior expectations.
• Collaborate with after school teachers to support instruction, routines and program needs.
• Guide smooth transitions by grouping students and escorting to activities and dismissal.
• Prepare and organize materials for lessons and play.
• Support classroom routines and behavioral expectations set by administrators and teachers.
• Administrative duties when necessary.
