Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent. Prior experience working with youth preferred.
• Paraprofessional Proficiency Exam certification mandated by the State of California for Instructional Assistants (AA or 48 college units or district proficiency test).
• YALE Preschool requirement: twelve semester units in early childhood education and related permits.

Responsibilities

• Supervise student groups with safe and effective practices.
• Provide engaging enrichment activities aligned with the District Program Plan.
• Maintain a safe, organized classroom environment.
• Communicate with parents and staff regarding students.
• Monitor students during arrival, departure, and transitions.
• Support district goals for quality improvement.
• Assist with snack preparation and basic first aid as needed.
• Comply with health and safety policies.
