Job summary

Chandler Unified School District in Chandler, Arizona invites applications for the Childcare Assistant Group Leader – Kids Express position. You will supervise the before and after school program, plan age-appropriate activities, and maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least 6 months of experience, basic computer skills, and ability to communicate with parents. Immediate start with a 9-month calendar and hourly pay of $16.67.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience required.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a computer and related software
• Satisfactory criminal background check
• Negative TB test required upon hire

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in the before and after school program, but not limited to play periods, mealtime, field trips, bathroom, assemblies, and emergency drills
• Prepare lesson plans and instruct children with an age-appropriate curriculum
• Develop and create bulletin boards, signs, borders, and classroom displays
• Assist students with various physical, emotional, and educational needs
• Provide guidance and direction to students regarding appropriate behavior and social skills
• Communicate with parents on the student's progress, behaviors, issues, and outcomes
• Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
