Job summary

Nexplore is seeking a part-time Chess Instructor to deliver after-school, in-person instruction to students at an assigned site. Classes run Thursdays from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, with listed dates for Sep and Oct.

Instructors receive training, lesson plans, curriculum, and materials to prepare for instruction and teach PreK-12 students, reporting to a Program Success Manager. Qualifications include an AA degree or higher, 2+ years teaching/instructing (preferred), experience with children, and

• AA Degree (or higher) required.
• Teaching degree or certificate is a plus.
• Must commit to the full proposed schedule.
• Great communication and presentation skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, in-person instruction for the chess program.
• Review lesson plans and materials prior to instruction.
• Maintain compliance with site expectations and schedules.
• Engage in professional, effective communication with site staff and families.
• Report to Program Success Manager and contribute to program goals.
