Job summary

Easter Seals North Georgia in Clarkston, GA is seeking an After School Care Provider to create a safe, engaging environment for school-age children after school hours. You will supervise students, help with homework, and facilitate recreational activities.

The role requires compliance with Bright from the Start DECAL regulations; candidates should have a high school diploma, be 18+, and be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification; prior childcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience with children in childcare or after-school programs preferred.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting via DECAL/BFTS.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain.
• Must be 18 years or older to qualify for staff roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision of children following BFTS standards at all times.
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities to promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Assist children with homework, reading, or enrichment activities.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and follow authorized pick-up procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in compliance with regulations.
• Report injuries, behavioral issues, or incidents to supervisor and document appropriately.
• Communicate positively with parents and staff and attend required trainings.
