Job summary

Duval Charter School at Flagler Center is seeking an After Care Counselor to supervise students in the cafeteria, on the playground, and in designated areas after school. The role runs Monday through Friday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm during the August 6 to June 1 program year.

The position involves assisting with homework, passing snacks, monitoring students, and resolving conflicts with children and parents while maintaining a safe, friendly environment in line with CSUSA policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher education credential.
• Experience as daycare assistant or summer camp counselor preferred.
• Must like children.

• Such alternatives to the above requirements as CSUSA may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining an orderly, safe, and pleasant atmosphere in designated areas.
• Monitor students and observe entry/exit in care areas.
• Help students with homework and tutoring support.
• Pass out snacks and supervise playground activities.
• Resolve conflicts with children and parents in a courteous, professional manner.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
