Job summary

Diocese of Austin Catholic Schools is seeking an After School Care assistant for Cathedral of St. Mary’s. The role supports the After School Care Director, supervising students from 3:30 to 6:30 PM and assisting with homework and sign-in/out procedures.

The position emphasizes safeguarding students, maintaining records, following school rules and emergency procedures, and contributing to a safe, caring school environment aligned with Catholic education values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required for employment.
• Submit Ethic and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) Application within first week of employment.
• Complete EIM abuse prevention training within 30 days and maintain compliance during employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children for safety and appropriate behavior.
• Assist with homework and record keeping.
• Ensure students obey rules and follow discipline procedures.
• Know and implement emergency procedures and be aware of emergency contacts.
• Assist with student sign-in and sign-out processes and use of equipment, grounds and buildings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or principal.
