Job summary

St. Charles Borromeo Academy seeks a part-time Extended Care Aide for our after-school program, 2:30pm–5:30pm (up to 20 hours weekly).

Experience in an early childhood setting is encouraged, and the role centers on meeting the physical, social, and emotional needs of young children in a faith-based environment. Key duties include promoting the mission of the Catholic Church, maintaining high behavior standards, and collaborating with the Extended Care Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Prefer experience within a childcare setting, but not required.
• All employees are required to consent to a background check, commit to our Code of Conduct policy, and complete online and in-person trainings prior to hire.
• Be an active member of a faith community and be a model of the teachings of Jesus.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church.
• Care for the physical, social, and emotional needs of the young child while promoting the mission of the Catholic Church.
• Work under the direction of the Extended Care Coordinator.
• Demonstrate professionalism, including confidentiality, when working with administration, staff, parents and children, while promoting positive relationships and effectively communicating with others
• Manage and set high behavior standards within the classroom and building.
• Must be physically able to perform the job of a caregiver of young children.
• Be an active member of a faith community and be a model of the teachings of Jesus
