Job summary

St. Monica Catholic School is seeking an After School Care staff member for PreK through 8th grade to support a caring program after school hours. You will work under the supervision of the After School Care Coordinator and help create a safe, engaging environment for students.

The role focuses on modeling Catholic values, supervising activities, and assisting with homework time from 1st grade. Hours are 2:30 to 6:00 on school days and 11:30 to 6:00 on early release days, with responsibilities

Job description

St. Monica Catholic School has openings for the After School Care Program. We are a PreK thru 8th grade school. Applicants need to have a caring attitude and a joy for working with children.

Employees will work under the supervision of the After School Care Coordinator.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting and upholding the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
• Acting as a role model for Gospel values by following the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Supervising the children in your care at all times and following all safe environment guidelines.
• Maintaining a positive and safe learning environment while following a set schedule.
• Scheduling homework time which begins in 1st grade. Children work independently with staff available to help as needed.
• Planning and providing a variety of activities, which includes gym time and/or outdoor play time for the children.
• Setting-up and cleaning-up your after school classroom.
• Being interactive with the children, which requires being able to stand, walk, sit and move about freely while the children are in your care.
• Attend staff meetings

Hours are 2:30 to 6:00 on days that school is in session and 11:30 to 6:00 on occasional early release days.
