Job summary

Partnership with Children is seeking an After-School Program Activity Specialist to facilitate activities for school-aged participants. This role focuses on nurturing creativity and academic enrichment in a safe, engaging environment.

The position is in-person, part-time (approximately 15–22.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday 2:30pm–6pm) with pay at $27 per hour, based on experience. The applicant should have an Associates or Bachelor’s degree and experience guiding groups of children, with STEM

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years in specialization.
• At least one year experience overseeing groups of children.
• Strong interest in working with children; social-emotional needs awareness.
• Ability to relate well with staff, school personnel and parents.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Experience creating lesson plans; STEM preferred.
• Ability to lead more than one activity.

Responsibilities

• Create a supportive, nurturing group environment.
• Ensure the safety of all the children.
• Facilitate programmatic elements for the group.
• Provide age-appropriate activities as per schedule.
• Develop and execute engaging lesson plans (STEM, arts, movement, sports).
• Prepare materials and hand-outs for lessons.
• Create and coordinate student performances for showcases.
• Attend team meetings and professional development trainings.
• Other duties as assigned.
