Job description

As an Activity Leader on our team, you will work closely with teachers and other Activity Leaders to support the day-to-day activities of after-school clubs.

When you join Kalexedy Learning Center, a private microschool, as our new After-school Activity Leader, you’ll be part of creating special moments for kids. No specific experience is required, but the ideal candidate will have:

• Passion for Working with Children: Promote an inclusive, fun, and engaging experience. Share passions and encourage others to find theirs.
• Enthusiasm and Organizational Skills: Assist in planning and delivering structured activities, games, and programming. Help children develop and feel safe, seen, and included.
• Authenticity: Bring your unique self into the space—whether through spontaneous dance, playing games, or sharing fun videos—to build meaningful connections.
• Responsibility and Reliability: Ensure children's safety and enjoyment by following all safety guidelines with integrity.
• Creativity and Innovation: Embrace innovation, risk-taking, and continuous learning. Be resourceful, self-motivated, and adaptable to challenges.

Requirements

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee 4-12 students engaged in club activities.
• Lead and participate actively in club activities.
• Engage with students to motivate and challenge them.
• Assist families with registration and payments.
• Uphold Kalexedy values to foster a positive learning culture.
• Promote the center’s activities within the community.
• Previous experience working with kids or teens in leadership roles is preferred.
• Maintain a positive attitude and enthusiasm, even on tough days.
• Be open to learning and feedback for personal growth.
• Be tech-savvy, familiar with Google Suite, MS Office, and student tech tools.
• Manage time effectively, staying organized and prepared.
• Have hobbies or skills beyond work to bring diverse interests.
• Act with honesty and integrity, communicating issues promptly.
• Be flexible and adaptable in a start-up environment.

Location and Commitments

• Part-time (up to 26 hours/week), on-site in Framingham, MA
• Monday to Friday, 3pm-7pm; Saturday 9am-3pm
• Occasional flexibility for remote work and schedule adjustments.
