Auburn City Schools is seeking an After School Instructor I to assist in implementing the after-school program and support student learning and safety.

The role involves preparing materials, leading supervised activities, assisting in curriculum adaptation for diverse learners, maintaining a clean environment, supervising students, and communicating with staff, students, and parents while upholding confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Must meet background clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing materials and equipment for after school instructional activities.
• Lead small group activities planned by the After School Coordinator with engaging learning experiences.
• Assist in adapting curriculum to meet needs of diverse learners and backgrounds.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment for students.
• Assist in the computer lab as requested.
• Provide student supervision as assigned.
• Maintain materials and equipment.
• Help enforce classroom rules.
• Provide tutorial services as needed.
• Communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and administrators with tact.
• Follow attendance and proper dress rules.
• Ensure safety standards are followed.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding school matters.
• Model high ethical standards and take initiative.
• Remain current in assigned area to meet goals.
• Participate in training to increase skills.
• Keep supervisor informed of problems.
• Respond to inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Exhibit teamwork and collaboration.
• Support the school system and its priorities.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and participate in cross-training.
• Perform other tasks aligned with program goals.
