Job summary

Educational Alliance is seeking an experienced part-time After School Acrobatics Teacher to develop and lead 45-minute weekly acrobatics classes for elementary students in the East Village. The role focuses on age-appropriate instruction in acrobatics, tumbling, and gymnastics, fostering skill development, confidence, and a positive relationship with physical activity.

The teacher will create a supportive learning environment, differentiate for varying abilities, and collaborate with the program

Qualifications

Experience working with elementary school-aged children.
Knowledge of acrobatics, tumbling, gymnastics.
Experience teaching movement-based classes to children preferred.
Excellent organizational and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interact with diverse backgrounds.
Availability to work 3:30-5:30 p.m. at least one day per week.
Commitment to at least the first half of the After School year: Sep 14, 2026–Jan 22, 2027 and Jan 25–Jun 4, 2027.

Responsibilities

Submit weekly lesson plans.
Develop and facilitate engaging 45-minute weekly Acrobatics classes for groups of up to 18 students.
Design progressive lessons for 8-week enrichment quarter.
Teach foundational and advanced skills with emphasis on technique and safety.
Differentiate instruction for varying abilities and provide modifications.
Create structured activities, drills, circuits, partner work, and games.
Communicate supply or material needs to the Program Manager.
