Job summary

Educational Alliance in New York's East Village is seeking a part-time After School Acrobatics Teacher to develop and lead age-appropriate instruction in acrobatics, tumbling, and gymnastics for K-5 students.

You will plan weekly 45-minute classes, ensure safety, differentiate for abilities, manage lesson plans and inventory, and model professional behavior while fostering a supportive, engaging environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with elementary school-aged children.
• Demonstrated knowledge of acrobatics, tumbling, gymnastics, or related movement disciplines; teaching experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate 45-minute weekly classes for groups of up to 18 students, with progressive skill building across an 8-week enrichment quarter.
• Teach proper technique, body awareness, strength, flexibility, balance, and safe skill progression.
• Differentiate instruction with modifications and challenges for varying ability levels.
• Submit weekly lesson plans and maintain a clean, organized classroom and equipment inventory.
• Supervise students and model professional behavior and good sportsmanship.

Educational Alliance is a 135-year-old New York institution serving New Yorkers from all walks of life through arts and culture, education, health and wellness, and social services.

The 14Y After School Program serves children in grades K-5 from schools across the East Village and is a neurodiverse community. We are seeking a part-time After School Acrobatics Teacher to develop and lead age-appropriate instruction in acrobatics, tumbling, and gymnastics in a structured, supportive, and engaging environment.

• Plan and facilitate 45-minute weekly classes for groups of up to 18 students, with progressive skill building across an 8-week enrichment quarter
