Job summary

Alexandria City Public Schools seeks an Out of School Time Specialist to oversee the development and implementation of academic components for all OST programs. This role supports the 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant, coordinating academic requirements and aligning activities with district priorities.

Working with school-based instructional staff, the OSTS will support tutoring, homework assistance, and other evidence-based academic supports, ensuring alignment with grant outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Experience with 21st CCLC program implementation preferred
• Experience with K-12 academic programs and student assessment practices
• Strong data collection, analysis and reporting skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google products

Responsibilities

• Facilitate data collection of LINK Club applicants and manage student selection.
• Develop relationships with LINK Club leads, principals, and administrators to align goals.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop data-driven action plans.
• Develop activities to improve educational outcomes in afterschool settings.
• Coordinate ongoing technical training for academic staff.
• Address quality and logistical issues with site coordinators for LINK Club programs.
• Plan and lead training for all LINK Club academic activities.
• Evaluate program goals and propose improvements for effectiveness.
• Plan, schedule, and attend meetings; conduct site visits as needed.
• Collaborate with ACPS offices to ensure quality program services.
• Manage and analyze academic data for LINK Club students.
