Overview

Gentiva Hospice Plus is seeking a full-time Weekend After Hours Registered Nurse (RN). The schedule is Friday at 4pm through Monday at 8am. This is a full-time position with full benefits. The role involves direct patient care visits during after-hours on an on-call basis. Your salary and benefits will remain consistent regardless of your workload.

You will report directly to the Administrator, Executive Director, or Patient Care Manager Senior and will be responsible for the professional management of each patient. You will serve as the primary liaison between physicians, patients, families, and the hospice team.

  1. You’ll provide direct patient care services to hospice patients and supportive care to their families after normal business hours.
  2. You’ll manage an interdisciplinary team including Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and support staff to ensure high-quality hospice care.
  3. You’ll assess patient and family needs and assist in developing and implementing the plan of care for each patient.
  4. You’ll maintain all clinical records for your assigned patients.
  5. You’ll participate in quality assessment and performance improvement programs within the company.
About You
  • You are compassionate, kind, and empathetic towards patients and their families.
  • You hold a current RN license in the state of employment or are able to obtain one.
  • You have at least 1 year of nursing experience in hospice, home health, or oncology preferred.
