Job summary

Lucas County Children Services is seeking an Emergency Services Supervisor within the Social Services Division in Ohio. The role oversees a unit of caseworkers, ensuring after-hours reports of abuse or neglect are properly screened and addressed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field with seven years of casework experience.
OR a Master’s degree in Social Work or related field with three years’ protective services and supervisory experience.
Knowledge of governmental structure, public/human relations, labor/management relations; supervisory techniques.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage a unit of caseworkers; ensure reports of child abuse, neglect, and dependency received outside normal hours are screened and responded to.
Ensure unit practice reflects agency philosophies and policies, including confidentiality, professionalism, cultural competency, FCNB services, child safety, ethics, and timely permanency for children.
