  • Maintain attendance records and sign-in/out procedures.
  • Verify authorized pick-up arrangements and communicate with guardians.
  • Assist with snack distribution and clean-up of areas.
  • Maintain a clean, organized aftercare environment.
  • Address minor behavioral concerns and report to director.
  • Follow safety procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Model Catholic values in all interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary

The Aftercare Aide supports the school's aftercare program by providing supervision, care, and engagement for students in a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled environment. This position assists with daily aftercare activities, homework support, recreation, and student supervision while promoting the mission and values of St. Louis Catholic Academy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise students during aftercare hours and ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Monitor student behavior and foster a positive, respectful environment.
  • Assist students with homework and educational activities as needed.
  • Plan and facilitate age-appropriate recreational, enrichment, and social activities.
  • Maintain attendance records and oversee student sign-in/sign-out procedures.
  • Verify authorized pick-up arrangements and communicate with parents and guardians as necessary.
  • Assist with snack distribution and ensure proper cleanup of program areas.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming aftercare environment.
  • Address minor behavioral concerns and report significant issues to the Aftercare Director or administration.
  • Follow school safety procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Support and model Catholic values and Christian behavior in all interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal, Aftercare Director, or school administration.
Qualifications
