Job summary

Christ the King Catholic School in Denver, CO is seeking a part-time After Care Aide for the 2026-2027 school year to supervise students, support positive social interactions, and ensure students’ wellbeing after the school day.

The role requires a minimum high school diploma, appropriate training/credentialing, and at least 3 months of experience caring for and supervising 4+ children. Schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 2:45 pm–5:30 pm, non-benefit eligible.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; some college or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Requires appropriate training, certification/licensing and/or credentialing.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• 3 months (455 hours) of verified experience caring for and supervising 4+ unrelated children over age 4, or hold an Early Childhood Professional Credential Level I or higher (Version 3.0).
• Ability to supervise, communicate, and maintain a safe classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate attendance and academic records as per school policy.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, secure learning and work environment.
• Participate in annual performance reviews for the After Care Aide.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding school personnel and students.

Our After Care Aide will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for students by supervising activities, supporting positive social interactions, and ensuring students' well‑being after the school day.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and act in accordance with doctrinal and moral teachings of the Catholic Church
• Know, teach, and act consistently in accordance with the mission, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Christ the King Catholic School
• Provide grade appropriate extended or enrichment opportunities
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians, colleagues, and principal
• Participate in all Archdiocese of Denver in‑service and training programs, and participate in all local school sponsored professional development and training programs and initiatives unless exempted or excused by principal
• Cooperate with the principal and staff members in school related meetings, activities, and projects
• Maintain accurate student attendance and academic records in accordance with local school policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and secure learning and work environment
• Participate in annual performance review based upon the implementation of the essential duties of the After Care Aide
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding school personnel, students, and general school matters
• Follow established procedures to ensure the safety and welfare of students
• Maintain required training, certification and/or credentialing
• Perform other duties as assigned by the school principal

Education and Experience:

• Requires a minimum of a high school diploma; some college or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Requires appropriate training, certification/licensing and/or credentialing

Competencies and Qualifications:

• Refrain from promotion or approval of, or the living out of, any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have at least 3 months (455 hours) of verified experience caring for and supervising 4 or more unrelated children over the age of 4, or hold a current Early Childhood Professional Credential Level I or higher (Version 3.0)
