Job summary

Stoke Space is building Nova, a fully reusable launch vehicle, and seeks an Assembly Technician for Aft-End to join a mission-driven, collaborative team.

You will be at the heart of aft integration, bringing together structure, propulsion, fluid lines, and avionics to form the vehicle’s powerhouse. The role requires meticulous hands-on work, adherence to safety standards, and a commitment to quality and traceability.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in aerospace manufacturing, aviation maintenance, or rocket/jet engine assembly.
  • Ability to read complex drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments and calibrated hand tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to lead by example.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble rocket engines, structure, and subsystems on the aft end of the vehicle.
  • Own and lead AFT build and integration from start to finish, including area layout and tooling.
  • Install and torque flight-critical hardware per drawings and work instructions.
  • Perform precision alignments and measurements with calibrated tools.
  • Support pressurized pneumatic/cryogenic testing and leak checks.
  • Collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area adhering to FOD/ESD standards.
  • Operate tools and heavy equipment safely near flight hardware.
  • Document all activities for traceability.
