Aether Aerospace in Fort Rucker, AL seeks a Software Engineer/Architect focused on Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MS&A) to advance Army Aviation modernization. You will help move from legacy MS&A to a modern IDE, integrating AFSIM tools and collaborating with Army engineers to shape future aviation capabilities.

The role demands strong software development skills in C++/C#, MOSA awareness, and experience in DoD or aerospace simulation environments. Active Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience with AFSIM or comparable military simulation frameworks.
  • Understanding of MOSA software architecture and lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in C++ and/or C# for MOSA-compliant applications.
  • Experience supporting Modeling, Simulation and Analysis in a DoD/aerospace environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support Army Aviation modernization through development and integration of MS&A within an IDE using AFSIM.
  • Transition legacy ATCOM models, data, and workflows to AFSIM-based architectures.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software and hardware for mission-level simulations and analyses.
  • Develop modular AI/ML components and reusable simulation elements compatible with MOSA.
  • Collaborate with government engineers and subject matter experts to model aircraft platforms and systems.
