Job description

Job Number: R0247449

AFSIM Simulation Analyst
The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your analytical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact on national defense? You understand the customer's environment and how to utilize modeling and simulation (M&S) tools to provide answers to their questions. Your ability to translate real-world scenarios into technical analysis makes you an integral part in delivering timely, focused solutions for the mission.

As a simulation analyst on our team, you'll have the chance to assess and evaluate models and simulations using computer-based analytical tools, custom scripting, and the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM). Your analytic expertise will be vital as you evaluate and inform weapon system performance and capability. You'll develop your skills in critical thinking, data analytics, and operations analysis while gaining experience in constructive M&S of combat systems and operations. Join our team and help turn requirements into accomplishments that drive change.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience with AFSIM or many-vs-many simulation environments such as ITASE or NGTS
  • 3+ years of experience with M&S, supporting the development, use, and analysis of models, simulations, or experiments
  • Experience with scenario development for simulation-based analysis
  • Experience with multiple levels of modeling fidelity, including parametric, engineering, and emulative simulations
  • Experience with analytic techniques such as Design of Experiments (DoE), statistical analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, and optimization methods
  • Experience with U.S. and foreign combat weapon systems such as radar, directed energy weapons, missile systems, or anti-satellite weapons, air defense, electronic warfare, and command and control (C2)
  • Experience producing clear visualization outputs, including visual analytic artifacts such as plots, dashboards, or videos
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with coding languages commonly used in M&S analysis such as Python, MATLAB, C++, or similar languages for data analysis, model integration, tool development, or manipulating data between different formats and performing post-processing of data
  • Experience developing AFSIM scripts to customize model behaviors and decisions within an analytical scenario
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of raw model output to identify key drivers
  • Ability to distill, summarize, and articulate complex technical insights and findings
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
