Job summary

DCS Air & Space Technology (AST) Sector seeks an AFSIM Modeling and Simulation Specialist in Reston, VA. You will join a high-visibility MS&A team, building dynamic simulations and contributing to defense analyses used by decision-makers.

Requirements include a BS in a technical field, 5+ years of experience, and a TS clearance with SCI eligibility, with strong scripting skills and collaboration across SMEs. Travel as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
• BS degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or related technical discipline with at least 5 years of related analysis experience.
• Background investigation for access to classified information: TS DoD clearance.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with modeling and simulation tools for engagement/mission studies.
• Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.
• Scripting or programming experience.
• Ability to travel.
• Ability to work well in team environments.

Responsibilities

• Construct military models and entities of varying complexity in AFSIM.
• Provide dynamic scripting to produce modeled entity actions in AFSIM.
• Create and enhance scenarios representing actions and interactions in AFSIM.
• Contribute to MS&A study plans using AFSIM.
• Collaborate with pilots, technologists, and SMEs to identify requirements for AFSIM implementations.
• Analyze AFSIM results and present study findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with agile AFSIM software teams to build MS&A solutions.
• Develop technical approaches with study leads and customer stakeholders.
