Job summary

DCS Air & Space Technology Sector seeks an AFSIM Modeling and Simulation Specialist to join the MS&A team in Reston, VA. You will build models, craft scenarios, and run MS&A studies using AFSIM to inform defense decision-makers.

Ideal candidates have a BS in a technical field, 5+ years of analysis experience, and a TS clearance with SCI eligibility. Strong English communication and scripting skills are essential for collaboration with pilots, technologists, and SMEs.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required due to government-access regulations.
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• BS degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or related technical field plus 5 years of analysis experience.
• Ability to obtain DoD clearance and pass background investigation.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on modeling and simulation experience.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Scripting or programming experience.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Construct military models and entities in AFSIM.
• Develop dynamic scripting for modeled actions in AFSIM.
• Create and enhance scenarios representing actions in AFSIM.
• Support MS&A study planning and execution using AFSIM.
• Collaborate with pilots, technologists, and SMEs to identify requirements.
• Analyze AFSIM results and present findings to stakeholders.
• Work with agile software teams to improve MS&A solutions.
• Coordinate with study leads and customers to develop approaches.
