Multifamily Property Management

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. Responsibilities include repairing flooring, drywall, appliances; troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, safety, security, HVAC systems; painting; and cleaning. All duties must be performed in accordance with company policies and safety protocols, supporting client expectations within the operating budget and management agreement.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Client Relations: Implement the philosophies and wishes of the owner to meet client objectives and expectations.
2. General Maintenance: Follow maintenance programs, ensure grounds and property aesthetics meet standards, assist with inspections, and serve as on-call emergency support.
3. Unit Turnover: Inspect and repair vacant apartments, coordinate painting, appliance changes, and ensure timely turnovers.
4. Equipment and Systems Maintenance: Repair community-owned equipment, maintain storage and inventory, and wear required uniforms and tools.
5. Inspections: Prepare properties for NSPIRE, MOR, TCAC, CALFHA, and collaborate with stakeholders for inspections.
6. Other Responsibilities: Enforce community rules, comply with Fair Housing Laws, maintain professionalism, and adhere to dress code.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience in property maintenance or related fields.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or CAMT certification preferred.
• Ability to wear a respirator and be medically cleared for duty.
• Proficiency in English, with own tools preferred.
