Multifamily Property Management

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. Duties include repairing flooring, drywall, appliances; troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, safety, security, and HVAC systems; painting; and cleaning. All duties must adhere to company policies and safety protocols, supporting client expectations within budget and management agreements.

Responsibilities

  1. Client Relations: Ensure operations align with owner philosophies and client expectations.
  2. General Maintenance: Follow maintenance programs, ensure grounds and property aesthetics, assist with inspections, and serve as on-call maintenance for emergencies.
  3. Unit Turnover: Inspect and repair vacant apartments, coordinate painting, and appliance changes to ensure timely turnover.
  4. Equipment and Systems Maintenance: Repair and maintain community equipment, secure parts and supplies, and wear required uniforms and tools.
  5. Inspections: Prepare properties for inspections such as NSPIRE, MOR, TCAC, CALFHA, and collaborate with stakeholders.
  6. Other Duties: Enforce community rules, comply with Fair Housing Laws, maintain professional appearance, and communicate professionally.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably in residential property management or related fields.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; technical school or CAMT certification preferred.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and be medically cleared for duty.
  • Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).
  • May need to provide own tools.
