Job summary

Rainey Property Management is hiring a Leasing Consultant for affordable housing communities in Texas. The role focuses on leasing performance, compliance with HUD/LIHTC/Section 8, and delivering excellent resident service.

You will help residents find suitable housing, verify eligibility, and manage communications to maintain occupancy goals. A fast-paced, mission-driven environment awaits and growth opportunities are available within the team.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years leasing, sales, or customer service experience.
• Understanding HUD/LIHTC/Section 8 programs and tenant eligibility guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first contact for prospective residents; provide pricing and community features.
• Show property tours and explain eligibility and options for affordable housing.
• Assist applicants with leasing paperwork and eligibility verification.
• Maintain leasing pipeline and meet occupancy goals.
• Ensure compliance with HUD, LIHTC, and Section 8 guidelines.
• Prepare documentation and support audits and reviews.
• Communicate with residents on leases, renewals, and policies.
