Job Description

The Leasing Consultant is the community's sales representative responsible for interacting with residents (potential and existing) on behalf of FPI. Duties include assisting with property viewings, providing accurate information about apartments, processing rental applications, securing lease agreements from qualified applicants, and assisting with lease renewals. All duties must be conducted in accordance with Fair Housing Laws and Company policies, supporting the overall objective of meeting client expectations based on the financial operating budget and management agreement.

Pay: $15 - $17 / Hour

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Client Relations: Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner in daily operations to meet client objectives and expectations.
  • Communication: Maintain positive, professional communication with applicants, residents, vendors, clients, and guests.
  • Leasing/Occupancy: Maintain occupancy levels, exhibit professional leasing techniques, assist with marketing strategies, update online marketing sources, promote resident retention, ensure move-in orientation, and foster positive resident/management relations.
  • Reporting and Document Management: Maintain resident files, ensure confidentiality, update and organize documents, and assist with reporting requirements.
  • Risk Management: Ensure compliance with risk management procedures, report injuries or damages, and respond professionally to emergencies.
  • Facility Maintenance: Report and monitor maintenance needs, follow up to ensure completion, and communicate with residents.
  • Other: Enforce community rules fairly, comply with laws and policies, maintain a professional appearance, complete training requirements, and perform additional tasks as directed.
