Job summary

Manatee County Government is seeking an Affordable Housing Development Coordinator in Bradenton, FL. The role oversees development projects and facilitates the process from planning to monitoring, working with developers and county partners to expand affordable housing options.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience, plus a valid Florida driver license. Occasional after-hours meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in urban or city planning, economics, public administration, real estate, or a related field.
• 5+ years progressively responsible experience in affordable housing, neighborhood improvement, community planning, public administration, redevelopment or community development, or related field.
• Prior affordable housing, real estate, project management, and grant-related experience highly desired.
• Valid driver license with valid Florida driver license within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning and feasibility studies for designation as affordable housing.
• Assist planning, permitting, construction, and monitoring stages of projects.
• Prepare Land Use Restriction and other agreements for Livable Manatee and related grants.
• Track progress of affordable housing projects and incentives.
• Coordinate with developers, regulators, nonprofits, and county departments.
