Job summary

The Washington County Housing Services Department seeks a Real Estate Development Financial Analyst to serve as the primary finance partner for affordable housing development. Responsible for budgets, cash flows, reporting, and audits throughout the development lifecycle.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, government finance experience, and the ability to coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and funders to ensure LIHTC compliance and timely financial closes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or related field.
  • Two years of progressively responsible professional experience performing budgetary or financial analysis, or auditing.
  • Alternatively, an Associate's degree with four years of progressive professional experience; or six years total with public sector experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Housing Authority's finance partner for affordable housing real estate development.
  • Review budgets, cash flows, revenues, expenditures, and financing sources.
  • Coordinate audits, cost certifications, and financial reporting with partners and auditors.
