Job summary

Allied Residential in the Seattle area is seeking a meticulous Compliance Assistant to support Community Managers in meeting regulatory and company standards for affordable housing. You will prepare and review resident files, verify eligibility, and assist with recertifications to ensure audit readiness.

This role requires detail orientation, organization, and good communication. You will help teams implement LIHTC and HUD rules, support leasing during lease-up, and participate in trainings and

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of experience in property management, affordable housing or compliance preferred.
• Familiarity with LIHTC regulations a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a professional approach.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word; experience with remote work platforms preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license; travel between properties is required.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare move-in, interim, and annual recertification files for compliance.
• Verify income, assets and household eligibility per regs.
• Maintain organized resident files for audits and inspections.
• Respond to requests for documentation during reviews.
• Generate and track monthly recertification notices.
• Provide progress reports to managers on open files.
• Assist teams with LIHTC and affordable housing requirements.
• Support marketing and resident engagement during lease-up.
• Provide temporary compliance support during staffing changes.
• Attend compliance meetings and trainings.
