Premier Property Management is seeking an Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist in River Rouge, Michigan, starting at $21/hour, to help ensure properties meet LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, and PHA regulations. The role requires reviewing resident files, certifications, and leases, while guiding property teams on regulatory requirements.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in affordable housing compliance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, Section 8 and/or PHA, and other affordable housing programs.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of resident files to ensure compliance with affordable housing program requirements, including LIHTC, HUD, Section 8 and/or PHA, and other regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor income certifications, lease agreements, and recertification processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide guidance and support to property management teams regarding affordable housing program regulations and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to address compliance-related issues and inquiries.
• Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Stay informed about changes in affordable housing regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly.
• Assist with training initiatives to ensure that property management staff members understand and adhere to compliance requirements.
