Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Affordability TOC Engineer II to develop and maintain discrete event simulations, identify bottlenecks, and support affordability studies. This onsite role requires DoD Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare data inputs, and analyze throughput, cost, and readiness, updating models as new data becomes available.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with data analysis using structured datasets (Excel/CSV/DB).
• Proven experience with discrete event simulation tools (ExtendSim/Simio/Arena).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain discrete event simulation models to analyze throughput and bottlenecks.
• Prepare model input datasets from validated data.
• Identify constraints across production lines and supply chains.
• Analyze impact of design decisions on throughput and affordability.
• Conduct multi-scenario studies and parameter sweeps.
• Document model assumptions and data traceability.
• Support lifecycle cost modeling and readiness assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align outputs.
• Update inputs as new data becomes available.
