Murray Osorio PLLC is seeking an Affirmative Attorney for our Fairfax, VA, Silver Spring, MD, or Charlottesville, VA offices. This full-time, hybrid role requires on-site presence three days a week and focuses on asylum, VAWA, U Visas, naturalization, and status adjustments with opportunities across departments.

Ideal candidates have 0-3 years in SIJS/immigration law, strong research and communication skills, and a collaborative mindset to support clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Affirmative Attorney to join our thriving legal team in our Fairfax, VA, Silver Spring, MD, or Charlottesville, VA office. The affirmative immigration attorney will work on cases including asylum, VAWA, U Visas, T Visas, naturalization, adjustments of status, and waivers. The opportunity to specialize in specific areas of affirmative immigration, with assignment opportunities in other departments based on interest and business needs.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Fairfax, VA, Silver Spring, MD, or Charlottesville, VA, with the expectation of on-site presence three days a week.

As a valued member of our firm, you will

• Manage your own caseload while meeting case progression benchmarks.
• Collaborate closely with paralegals and fellow attorneys to ensure seamless case handling.
• Participate in firm committees under the guidance of firm partners, contributing to the firm’s operations and success.

• Proficiency in conducting thorough legal research using legal platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages.
• Additional experience in specific immigration law specialties or areas of practice.
