Job summary

Ashland High School seeks an LSU Student Affinity Group Advisor (Temporary) to coordinate and facilitate affinity group meetings, keeping a safe and inclusive space for students. Start date is 08/31/2026, with a 150 minutes-per-month minimum for meetings and a budget to cover snacks and activities.

Qualifications

• Current Ashland School District employees are strongly preferred.
• Personally identify with the same affinity as students in the affinity group, or demonstrate a strong allyship for the particular affinity group.

Responsibilities

• We expect the advisor to coordinate and facilitate affinity group meetings that are a safe and inclusive space for students.
• Assist with budgeting for snacks, materials, and activities and arrange purchases with site office staff.
• Communicate with site administrators, SOESD staff, and Equity & Learning colleagues as needed to support group goals.
