About the Role:
The AF Solutions Senior Clinical Specialist promotes and supports the Watchman product line by educating current and potential customers within a designated area. This role involves providing clinical education, sales support, and strategy to help meet or exceed sales goals and increase revenue within assigned product lines. The specialist collaborates closely with a dynamic team to build the Watchman brand in the territory.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Educating customers on the clinical merits and proper usage of company products through presentations and demonstrations across various formats and platforms (e.g., slides, manuals) to keep customers updated on product, therapy, and technological developments.
  • Meeting with existing and potential clients (e.g., physicians, hospital staff) through travel to understand their clinical needs, discuss how company products can help achieve their goals, and provide training.
  • Building relationships with hospital personnel at all levels to facilitate new contacts and identify key decision-makers for future sales.
  • Responding to customer needs and complaints by developing solutions or collaborating with sales, clinical research, marketing, and technical support teams.
  • Providing guidance to exempt specialists and supervisory staff exercising significant independence in their roles.
  • Fostering a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute fully to organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrating effective change leadership and building strategic partnerships within the WATCHMAN organization and beyond.
  • Assisting management in recruiting and coaching talent, and demonstrating leadership in change management.
  • Implementing strategies from quarterly plans, supporting market development, product launches, and competitive intelligence.
  • Coordinating efforts with sales management and representatives to build strategic partnerships.
  • Developing relationships with key physicians and external partners to promote growth.
  • Working with sales management on strategic initiatives to improve effectiveness.
  • Supporting on-call duties as needed.
  • Maintaining knowledge of clinical trial protocols, SOPs, and compliance with global regulatory standards.
  • Managing clinical trial activities within the territory, including Interest Visits and Site Initiation Visits.
  • Educating clinical investigators about trial protocols, processes, and investigational products.

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in clinical cardiology, medical device sales, or equivalent education and experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Technical aptitude with the ability to explain complex product information.
  • MS or higher degree in business or healthcare.

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 to $105,000, plus variable incentives based on performance, benefits, and other factors. Actual compensation depends on experience, education, certifications, and organizational needs.
