Job summary

Forefront Dermatology in Virginia Beach is seeking an experienced Aesthetician to join our clinic. You will perform, explain, and schedule cosmetic procedures, consult with patients, and provide education and aftercare.

The role involves promoting cosmetic products and services, following treatment protocols, coordinating with physicians, and supporting advertising efforts. Prior esthetician experience in medical settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited esthetician program or commensurate experience.
• 1-2 years of related experience in a medical office or spa setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in basic computer functions and keyboarding is required.
• Ability to learn new software quickly and operate standard office equipment.
• Ability to understand physician's instructions and seek clarification when needed.
• Professional appearance and courteous demeanor are essential.

Responsibilities

• Discuss all cosmetic treatment options with patients.
• Provide aftercare instructions and coordinate follow-ups.

Summary:

The Aesthetician performs, explains, and schedules cosmetic procedures, consults, and treatment regimens regarding select treatments available at Forefront Dermatology. This position actively promotes/sells cosmetic products, pricing, and services. Actively promotes/sells cosmetic products and services. Performs, explains, and schedules select cosmetic consults and treatments per protocols. Provide appropriate patient education and after care instructions. Provide recommendations for cosmetic service enhancements and implements approved plans within specified timeframes. Assist with development of advertising and promotional materials.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for all cosmetic discussions regarding all available cosmetic treatment options available.
• Responsible for aftercare instructions, relaying information between the doctor and the patient and from the patient to the doctor and schedule appropriate follow up and treatments.
