Job summary

Vanguard Plastic Surgery is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) in Fort Lauderdale to join our clinical team. The role focuses on in-office patient care, aesthetic services, surgical consultations, and pre-/postoperative management, with occasional operating room assistance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of clinical PA experience, knowledge of facial anatomy, dermal fillers, and a collaborative approach with plastic surgeons. Florida PA-C eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed and certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) eligible to practice in Florida.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant.
• Hands-on experience with dermal fillers is desirable but not required.
• Experience in plastic surgery, cosmetic/aesthetic medicine, dermatology, or related specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive in-office evaluations, consultations, and follow-up visits.
• Perform preoperative and postoperative assessments and provide education and follow-up care.
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physician.
• Perform aesthetic treatments, including dermal filler injections.
• Demonstrate knowledge of facial anatomy, injection techniques, product selection, and complication management.
• Assist with minor in-office procedures and clinical treatments as directed.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the physician and team.
• Provide clear post-procedure instructions and documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other staff.
• Assist with surgical procedures in the operating room on an occasional basis.
• Provide clinical support in urgent or emergency situations.
• Stay current on advancements in plastic surgery, aesthetics, and evidence-based care.
