Job summary

The Clinical Services Nurse at Duke Health Aesthetic Center will plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies. You will administer medications, document therapies, and support preoperative and postoperative care within the operating room and clinic settings at the Duke Aesthetic Center in Durham, NC.

Required qualifications include an accredited BSN, NC RN licensure, BLS, and 12 months of clinical experience, with ACLS/PALS

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from an accredited BSN program.
• Current North Carolina RN licensure is required.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS and PALS within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care for patients at the Aesthetic Center as per physician orders and policies.
• Prepare, administer and document medications and therapies per policy and orders.
• Perform circulating duties in the operating room as defined by policy and unit guidelines.
• Perform scrub duties related to instrumentation and procedures as defined by policy.
• Carry out clinic duties and preoperative postoperative assessments as required.
• Communicate data clearly to other members of the health care team and provide teaching as needed.
• Contribute to postoperative teaching and follow-up with patients as defined by unit policy.
• Assist with sterilization of instruments and maintain sterile technique as required.
