Job summary

Hytek Finishes is seeking an Aerospace Zinc Nickel Assistant for the 3rd shift in Kent, WA. This role learns tasks in the Zinc Nickel Plating department and supports preparation of parts for processing.

You will work with Operators and Leads, follow instructions, ensure QA and safety, and contribute to continuous improvement. FAA-related testing may apply; compensation includes full benefits and 3-weeks PTO.

Qualifications

• Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
• Ability to Read/Write/Communicate in English with other employees, customers, and auditors.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license may be required to work in all areas of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with experienced Operators and Department Leads to complete work and prioritize tasks.
• Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced Operators and Department Leads; sign off on work once completed and Operator Self Verification inspection has occurred.
• General review of paperwork and Operator Self Verification inspection of job to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors.
• Prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning, layout, and racking; use proper tooling and fixtures, when applicable.
• Knowledge of pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements.
• Familiar with Quality Assurance requirements & rework procedures.
• Familiar with engineering drawing notations.
• Follow safety precautions to avoid preventable injury to self and other personnel.
• Develop new product processing and identify areas for improvement.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to drive positive change in productivity, delivery, and service.
• Other duties as assigned.
