Job summary

Boeing is seeking an Associate Wiring Design and Installation Engineer (Level 2) in North Charleston, SC. The role focuses on 787 seats and interiors, developing electrical harness installation designs, and ensuring safety and quality in production processes.

You will work with a lead engineer to grow technically and professionally. The candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and 2+ years of relevant design experience, with CAD/CATIA proficiency, and the ability to collaborate

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical) or related field; non-US equivalent qualifications allowed.
2+ years of experience with wire harness, electrical and/or mechanical design.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., cable routing, geometry, brackets).
Develop and maintain critical electrical cable/wire harness installation, detail and assembly designs with attention to safety, quality and manufacturability.
Analyze design disposition for discrepancies and collaborate with factory partners to ensure designs are buildable and safe.
Follow existing processes and participate in supplier capability reviews to support source selection.
Analyze functional and physical requirements for integrated designs and system architecture; support design reviews.
